Summer Student Programs

Bringing together top students from the US and Asia is a key goal of several exciting exchange programs this summer. 

The IEF programs offer something for everyone. There are Asian trips for US students, as well as cultural and leadership programs for international students at US universities.

American Student Ambassadors - China, Taiwan

A select group of lucky US students will attend three-week cultural and educational exchange programs in Taiwan and China this summer. 

Participants will gain an insider's look at the history, culture and people of these exotic East Asian cultures. At the same time, the students will represent their college or university at special events. In essence, they are ambassadors for their school. These US representatives will meet with Asian students and educators, answer questions and share experiences about educational programs. Note: IEF scholarships are available for qualified students.

In China and Taiwan, students will find an action-packed itinerary with a wide variety of activities to help them understand these rich and fascinating cultures. The programs feature:

• An overview of the art, music, drama and cuisine

• A thoughtful historical review on China or Taiwan

• A variety of seminars and social events with local students and professors

• An active sightseeing schedule of key cultural and historic sites

In Taiwan - July 6-26, 2002
