AMERICAN, CHINESE EDUCATORS MEET IN BEIJING
A historic conference in Beijing this month brings together educators from distinguished American and Chinese academic institutions. Their goal? Encourage greater cooperation between the two nations.
The US-China Educational Cooperation summit, Sept. 25-27, is the first event of its type since China's entry into the World Trade Organization last winter. The forum is officially sponsored by the Beijing Chapter of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and organized by IEF.
The three-day event promises to encourage lively interaction between the two nations on everything from education policy and regulations to technology, finance and career development. Other topics will address how to remove barriers between Chinese and US educational systems, and promote better understanding between the two nations.
Future issues of this eNewsletter will feature segments of the conference presentations.
