IEF Hires New Marketing Director

IEF has recently appointed Dr. Tim Dosemagen to serve as director of marketing. He brings to the foundation strong experience in East Asian cultures, marketing campaigns and youth organizations. 

A US citizen, Dr. Dosemagen speaks fluent Korean and Chinese Mandarin. This experience was garnered during his seven-year stint with the United States Air Force. During the Carter and Reagan administrations, he served as a Cryptologic Analyst, studying various military and industrial entities of the Peoples Republic of China. 

Dr. Dosemagen's work led him to travel extensively throughout East Asia. It also awarded him the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal.

Youth Organizations

After leaving the military, Dr. Dosemagen served as director of field service for the Boy Scouts of America's Northeast Illinois Council. This bi-state region includes more than 375 local Scout groups with 18,000 youngsters and 4,000 adult volunteers.

For a brief time, he taught Chinese Mandarin in the Kenosha Unified School District. Additionally, he has served as La Leche League International's director of operations.

Education, Community Service

Dr. Dosemagen has a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Maryland; a Masters in Human Services from Murray State University; and a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University.

A Paul Harris Fellow and long time Rotarian, he also is a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow; an American Legionnaire; and the recent recipient of the 2000 Distinguished Service Award from the American Inn of Court of northern Illinois.
