2008 AIEF Scholarship Awards for Graduate Students 

AIEF is delighted to announce scholarship awards to nineteen outstanding candidates from Taiwan who will pursue graduate studies in the United States beginning in fall 2008. Selection of the 2008 scholarship recipients was made on July 10th at the annual AIEF scholarship committee meeting. Scholarship committee members were Dr. Patrick Fong (AIEF Executive Director); Dr. Kirby Yung (Former Minister of Education); Mr. Nicholas Papp (AIT Cultural Affairs Director); Dr. Yu-Wei Hu (Taiwan Normal University); Ms. Judy Chow (AIT EducationUSA Coordinator); Mr. Pei-Lin Cao (Director, Ministry of Education); and Ms. Chu-Ur Chuan (Executive Director, Hess Education Foundation).

At a ceremony held on July 24 in Taipei, AIEF scholarship awards were presented to the following promising graduate students (students’ names are listed in random order, followed by the school he/she will be attending in the fall and major field):
